In gaming, is there a big difference between 1GB and 2GB video cards?

What you want to pay closer attention to is the memory INTERFACE. The memory interface is what shows on your monitor. The total ram is what the card peaks at. The interface is what you should be caring about the most because this is what is actively being displayed. It may be a 2GB video card, but only have 64 bit interface. That is terrible. The higher the bit interface, the better the card. I think the highest interface is around 384 bit maybe even 512 bit but I'm not totally sure on that. You want to get a card with either 256 bit or 384 bit interface. Please trust me on this. It is a typical mistake made by a LOT of people.
